Job summary

RealTruck is seeking a Manager of Environmental Health and Safety to lead the strategic planning, direction, and oversight of environmental and safety programs across all brand locations in order to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

You will develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate policies and training; manage regulatory reporting; and coordinate with EH&S analysts and operations teams to integrate safety into every function while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and practices typically gained with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field and/or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental and safety compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor a comprehensive environmental and safety program with goals and systems.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal environmental and safety regulations.
• Develop plans for continuous improvement of safety and environmental efforts.
• Oversee hazardous materials approvals, changes, and permitting for compliance.
• Maintain records, reporting, sampling, testing, and audits as required.
• Lead the safety committee and coordinate training and awareness initiatives.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
