Job summary

Concentric is seeking an Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Director to lead all EHS programs across the organization, ensure compliance with OSHA/DOT regulations, and drive a culture of safety and sustainability. This senior role reports to the VP of HR, Safety & Training and oversees a team of 2+ professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• CSP, CIH, ASP, CHMM or similar credential preferred.
• DOT compliance certifications or transportation safety training preferred.
• 10+ years progressive experience in Environmental, Health & Safety, Fleet Safety, DOT Compliance, Risk Management, or related operational safety functions.
• 5+ years’ experience in EHS in a leadership position.
• Experience managing EHS budgets and vendor relationships.
• Must be willing to travel 30-50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall EHS strategy aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
• Lead investigations involving injuries, environmental incidents, near misses, and property damage with root-cause analysis.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and maintain necessary reports and permits.
• Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk management plans.
• Oversee workers' compensation, auto liability, and general liability programs in collaboration with HR and operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training and awareness campaigns.
• Lead and mentor EHS staff; manage department budget and resources.
