Job summary

Gft-Ready-Mix in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Director of Environmental Health and Safety to design and drive our EHS program, ensuring compliance with all regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing a team of EHS professionals.
  • Professional certification in EHS (e.g. CSP, CIH) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs to educate employees on safe work practices and procedures.
  • Manage the EHS budget and ensure that all expenditures are within budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that EHS policies and procedures are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in EHS regulations and standards and ensure that the organization is in compliance.
  • Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Manage a team of EHS professionals and provide guidance and support as needed.

Job Summary:
