U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Albuquerque, NM seeks an Equal Employment Manager (EEO) to oversee the EEO program for the VA facility.

The role reports to the Facility Director and focuses on program development, administration, evaluation and preventive advisory functions for systemic and case-focused issues. Responsibilities include staffing supervision under merit principles, developing facility-wide analyses of EEO-related issues, implementing policies to address discrimination,

Education must be from accredited colleges/universities recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Recruit and hire subordinate staff following merit staffing procedures and equal employment opportunity guidelines.
Ensure fair and equitable practices in selection for training, promotions, awards and recognition, and for career development opportunities.
Develop facility-wide analyses of EEO-related issues and programs; address systemic problems and discriminatory barriers.
Develop and implement EEO program policies; serve as technical advisor to the facility EEO Committee.
Improve representation of minorities, the disabled, and women; reduce potential discrimination complaints.
Develop an ADR program to resolve issues without litigation.
Conduct mandated New Employee Orientation on Prevention of Workplace Harassment; provide refresher training every 2 years.
Supervise EEO advisory committees and EEO staff; support planning, counseling, investigations, personnel and legal aspects of EEO.
