Job summary

EAB is a leading global provider of research and advice to higher education and K-12 institutions. The Associate Director, Research Advisory Services, will advise senior leaders, translate data into strategy, and deliver high‑impact insights through consultations, workshops, and on‑campus presentations.

This role spends about 80% in market work with partners, requires 40–50% travel, and may be based in Washington, DC, or Richmond, VA, with remote options across the continental United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, with 5+ years of post-graduate, professional experience; or 4+ years and advanced degree
• Experience working with client executives at colleges, universities, districts, or schools or as a consultant
• Superior verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Ability to create a compelling narrative through data visualization, graphics, and slides
• Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills; engage and challenge senior-level executives

Responsibilities

• Terrain Mastery: build and maintain issue expertise across terrains relevant to university leadership and fundraising
• Content Delivery and Facilitation: diagnose problems, guide decisions, and deliver advice via calls, virtual meetings, conferences, and on-campus presentations
• Partner engagement and support: translate insights into actionable recommendations and drive adoption
• Research Collaboration: generate original content (blogs, briefings, presentations) and share market insights with colleagues
