Job summary

EAB is seeking a Director of Research and Strategic Advisory Services to lead strategic education research and advisory initiatives in Washington, D.C. You will guide project design, engage campus leaders, and translate findings into actionable strategy across enrollment, student success, and institutional planning.

The role requires substantial experience in research, consulting, and education sector advisory, with travel up to 10% and the possibility of remote work within the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic record.
• 6–8+ years of post‑Bachelor’s work experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Experience in management or strategy consulting or university/education strategic planning.
• Experience conducting long‑term strategy research (≥3 months).
• Experience with primary and secondary research and higher education knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead strategic research projects from conception to completion.
• Provide intellectual leadership and analytical direction through all research stages.
• Synthesize complex ideas into actionable executive insights.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project leads and delivery teams for scalable deliverables.
• Manage and coach junior-level researcher staff.
• Deliver initial services and presentations to executive clients and leadership.
