Job summary

The incumbent will plan and manage economic development programs and capital or neighborhood redevelopment projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field AND 1 year of professional experience in Economic Development, Community Development, Real Estate, Data Analysis, Nonprofit Management, Grants, or Program Administration.
• Graduation from High School (or G.E.D.) AND 5 years of professional experience in Economic Development, Community Development, Real Estate, Data Analysis, Nonprofit Management, Grants, or Program Administration.
• Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission or equivalent region.

Responsibilities

• Foster constructive working relationships between business owners and the City and coordinate with partners on development initiatives.
• Support senior staff with real estate-related functions, including due diligence, site-readiness activities, and review of development agreements for regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Plan, implement, and manage economic development programs and redevelopment projects to improve the built environment and quality of life.
