Job summary

Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, WY seeks a Manager of Development Communications and Stewardship to direct donor communications and personalized stewardship efforts for the Development Department. You will craft engaging letters, proposals, and reports, collaborating with the Director of Philanthropy and Leadership Gift.

You will manage communications across platforms, maintain records, and work with cross-functional teams to heighten donor engagement and retention, including oversight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years experience in Communications, Marketing, and/or Development.
• Experience with a CRM/database system and/or exposure to non-profit fundraising preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages all Development Department communications to the Center’s members and donors.
• Generates original content for acknowledgment letters, appeals, and other Center publications.
• Utilizes donor database to record meaningful interactions and complete stewardship actions.
• Informs strategy related to member/donor retention and acquisition, use of the database, and donor stewardship.
• Collaborates with Graphics and PR & Marketing to create consistent Development Communications across platforms.
• Manages an annual calendar for all planned communication and stewardship efforts.
• Manages annual distribution of fall endowment fund reports to fund stewards.
• Supports Points West magazine and develops a digital version on WordPress accessible via the Member Portal.
