Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a District Manager to oversee a multifamily portfolio and lead a high-performing team. The role requires strategic thinking, decisive action, and a hands-on approach to budgeting, leasing, and market analysis to deliver strong results.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with support departments, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive value through special projects while living Camden’s values and culture of workplace excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Multi-site management experience required.
• 5-10 years of progressive residential property management responsibility.
• Valid current real estate license(s) preferred.
• Strong financial/budget and marketing experience.
• Proven ability to attract and develop successful teams and leaders.
• NALP preferred and professional PM designation a plus.
• Knowledge of multifamily operations and financial reporting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong sales skills to both internal and external customers.
• Make strategic planning decisions to maximize community results via pricing and occupancy insights.
• Collaborate with support departments to improve revenue, marketing, leasing, occupancy, and retention.
• Compile, evaluate, and analyze data to manage community budgets and progress toward goals.
• Analyze market trends to outperform markets and maintain a top position.
• Use dashboards and software to assess monthly variances and implement strategies.
• Ensure on-site management and staff compliance with policies and regulations.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing team and foster career growth.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Lead special projects such as due diligence, acquisitions, or committees.
