Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an SPP Outage Coordinator to support statewide construction execution through effective switching coordination, outage scheduling, and operational communication. Reporting to the SPP Construction Field Manager, the role coordinates switching requests and outage schedules to ensure safe, timely project delivery across Georgia Power's service territory.

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution operations or outage coordination.
• Strong safety and reliability focus.
• Ability to coordinate multiple switching requests and schedules.
• Excellent communication and relationship management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate switching requests for construction activities.
• Support outage scheduling with timing, constraints, and readiness.
• Review, route, and track prearranged switching requests.
• Coordinate with DCC, TMC, Distribution Operations, and field personnel.
• Maintain switching schedules, logs, and approvals.
• Identify conflicts and constraints; communicate to teams.
• Support after-hours and weekend switching as needed.
• Build relationships with operations, construction, engineering, contractors.
