Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director, Supply Chain - Distribution & Logistics to lead engagements for private equity portfolios and deliver measurable improvements, with opportunities for career advancement.

Open to all U.S. locations, the role centers on distribution and logistics optimization—network design, transportation and warehouse sourcing—and leads project teams; salary range $150k–$225k annually with a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience.
• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 consultancy REQUIRED
• Deep functional expertise in distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing
• Experience in leading or modeling supply chains using software support tools (e.g. Llamasoft, etc.)
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis
• Flexibility to travel based on project requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex client engagements with Private Equity leadership.
• Assess supply chain network design and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop transformation plans for transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Oversee project teams and ensure high-quality deliverables.
