Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Director in Supply Chain—Distribution & Logistics, open to all U.S. locations. You will drive network design, inventory planning, and 3PL sourcing for private equity and corporate clients, guiding cross‑functional teams and delivering tangible value across warehouses, transportation, and fulfillment networks.

The role emphasizes leadership, rigorous analysis, and actionable transformation plans, with a compensation range reflecting seniority and geography.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience.
• Preference for leadership roles within Supply Chain / Distribution and Logistics.
• Experience leading or modeling supply chains using software tools (e.g., Llamasoft).
• Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s supply chain, including locations, product flow, and key processes.
• Develop a structured approach to assess opportunities and define strategies with growth and financial objectives.
• Analyze network design, baseline costs, and profile inventory flows across the network.
• Lead sourcing events for transportation and warehousing, including RFI/RFP processes and 3PL considerations.
• Develop transformation plans and an implementation roadmap with estimated benefits.
• Manage delivery quality, team performance, and day‑to‑day client relationships.
• Lead and conduct analysis, both independently and as a team leader.
