Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Director of Supply Chain - Distribution & Logistics to lead marquee engagements across the U.S. PEPI practice. You will guide strategic sourcing, logistics and distribution improvements, and inventory optimization for portfolio companies while collaborating with Private Equity leadership.

A background in top-tier advisory and extensive travel are expected. The role offers exposure to large-scale transformation, with a salary range of $150,000–$225,000 annually

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience
• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 consultancy REQUIRED
• Deep functional expertise in distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing
• Experience in leading or modeling supply chains using software support tools (e.g. Llamasoft)
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis
• Flexibility to travel based on project requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex client engagements with Private Equity leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies
• Analyze supply chain network design and footprints including distribution centers and inventory flows
• Develop transformation plans to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution and to estimate benefits
• Oversee project delivery and manage day-to-day team relations to ensure high performance
• Balance analysis with leadership of teams to conduct rigorous assessments and recommendations
