Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director of Supply Chain – Distribution & Logistics to lead large, complex engagements for private equity clients, focusing on transforming distribution networks and logistics operations.

This role requires extensive consulting experience, deep supply chain expertise, and the ability to deliver measurable improvements while guiding cross‑functional teams in sourcing, planning, and transportation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience.
• Deep functional expertise in key areas including distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing.
• Experience in leading or modeling supply chains using software support tools (e.g. Llamasoft).
• Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Flexibility to travel based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements with Private Equity leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for their portfolio companies.
• Analyze supply chain networks across sourcing, planning, and operations to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assess network design and footprints to optimize cost, inventory, and service levels.
• Conduct 3PL sourcing events, negotiations, and contracting as needed.
• Develop transformation plans with timelines and estimated benefits (OPEX / inventory / service delivery).
• Oversee deliverables and manage teams day‑to‑day to ensure performance.
