Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with four years' related experience or equivalent combinations including supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with others and support The Salvation Army mission.
• Team player and self-starter; capable of handling multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of donor/volunteer database software is a plus.
• Must have valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle report check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic plan focusing on financial sustainability and missional alignment for Southern Illinois Service Extension.
• Meet fundraising goals through corporate/private donors, Red Kettle Campaign, and grant funding opportunities.
• Develop and engage Service Unit committee members, staff, and volunteers.
• Provide operational oversight and leadership for the Southern Illinois Service Extension; oversee records, policies, procedures, and procurements.
• Coordinate with the Divisional Director on annual budget preparation and fiscal responsibility for budgets.
• Monitor and assess program effectiveness; work with staff to develop new programming to meet community needs.
• Maintain relationships with Southern Illinois Service Extensions to advance The Salvation Army's mission in the region.
• Serve as staff contact for the advisory board, set agendas, and maintain minutes and records.
