The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division in Marion, IL seeks a Southern Illinois Service Extension Director to lead fundraising, programming and mission alignment.

Responsibilities cover strategic planning, budgeting, donor engagement, staff/volunteer supervision, and serving as liaison to the advisory board. A related bachelor’s degree with supervisory experience is preferred, plus MS Office skills and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with four years’ related experience, or equivalent with at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; supports The Salvation Army mission.
• Familiarity with donor/volunteer databases and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement a strategic plan focusing on financial sustainability and missional alignment for Southern Illinois.
• Meet fundraising goals through corporate/private donors, Red Kettle, and grant funding opportunities.
• Develop and support Service Unit committees, staff, and volunteers.
• Provide operational oversight, maintain records, and manage procurement and services.
• Coordinate budget with Divisional Director and ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Monitor programs and develop new community services to meet needs.
• Maintain relationships with Southern Illinois Service Extensions to advance the mission.
• Serve as staff contact for the advisory board and manage meeting agendas/minutes.
