Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking a Director of Quality and Performance Improvement to advance patient safety, quality initiatives, and high reliability across the organization. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for evidence-based programs that improve outcomes and sustain a culture of safety.
The role requires directing the Quality and PI department, coordinating across teams, mentoring leaders, and developing policies.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license or health related field.
- Advanced degree (Master's, PhD, DNP) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership in acute care including strategic planning, performance improvement, policy development, research, analytics, benchmarking and report writing.
- Pediatric experience required.
Responsibilities
- Directs daily operations of the Quality and PI Department.
- Directs patient safety activities across the organization, including quality, compliance, and performance audits.
- Mentors and coaches leaders in prospective risk analyses, action planning, monitoring and auditing.
- Conducts RCAs and develops root causes with corrective action plans for stakeholders.
- Leads complex process optimization projects to improve outcomes and workflow.
