RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Director of Clinical Risk Management and Patient Safety at Jersey City Medical Center. This leadership role directs the hospital's risk management and patient safety programs and ensures alignment with regulatory standards.

The position reports to Risk Management, is a full-time day-shift role based in Jersey City, NJ, with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in nursing or healthcare required.
• Minimum of five years of healthcare risk management experience.
• Working knowledge of DNV, CMS and NJ DOH regulations.
• Excellent writing, communications and organization skills.
• Ability to work with Excel, Microsoft Word, electronic programs, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical risk management and patient safety programs.
• Functions as liaison with litigation claims, supporting providers and staff and assisting legal counsel as needed.
• Works with insurance brokers, insurance clinical complaints and attorneys as assigned.
• Implements High Reliability Organization processes for timely review of events for SEC.
• Publishes RCA summaries and participates in DOH/SEC/Medical Staff reviews.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.
