Job summary

St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, NJ, seeks a Director of Quality and Patient Safety to provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s Quality, Performance Improvement, Patient Safety, and Regulatory programs.

This role develops, implements, and oversees a comprehensive, system-wide quality management and patient safety program that supports safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• RN license required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of direct patient care experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Quality, Performance Improvement, Patient Safety, and Regulatory programs.
• Develop, implement, and oversee a system-wide quality management and patient safety program.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and operational leaders to improve patient outcomes and safety.
• Oversee regulatory readiness, quality reporting, patient safety event management, and peer review.
