Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Director of Public Affairs & Strategy to lead high-priority, cross-functional work at the intersection of business strategy, healthcare policy, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, healthcare strategy, enterprise transformation, public affairs strategy, or a similarly rigorous environment.
• Deep knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry, preferably including payer and/or provider experience.
• Ability to independently structure ambiguous problems, lead cross-functional work, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Proven ownership of complex workstreams and ability to drive execution with limited direction.
• Strong project leadership, executive communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex workstreams end to end.
• Define scope, priorities, milestones, and decisions; drive work through implementation.
• Advise senior leaders.
• Frame complex business and policy issues, surface tradeoffs, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
• Develop strategies to advance enterprise priorities.
• Connect healthcare policy developments to business objectives and build coordinated strategies across stakeholders, messaging, risks, and execution.
• Drive analysis and execution.
• Lead research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and scenario planning with clear accountability.
