Job summary

NC State College of Engineering seeks a Director of Philanthropic Strategy & Prospect Management to guide fundraising strategy, optimize donor portfolios, and lead CRM initiatives. You will partner with senior leadership to maximize philanthropic results using data-informed decisions and analytics.

The role requires experience in major gift fundraising within a university setting and a collaborative approach to working with gift officers and research teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant post-baccalaureate degree with 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
• Enthusiasm for fundraising in a public university.
• Effective ability to multi-task and work with diverse constituencies.
• Collegial and team-oriented work style.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic advisor on fundraising priorities and campaign readiness.
• Lead portfolio optimization and prospect assignment strategies.
• Develop executive dashboards and performance reports for fundraising.
• Monitor pipeline health and donor movement.
• Coordinate CRM initiatives and user adoption for Salesforce (Lobo).
• Oversee portfolio management and regular reviews with gift officers.
