Job summary

North Carolina State University’s Engineering Advancement team is seeking an Assistant Director of Philanthropy Engineering to identify and qualify major gift prospects within NC State's College of Engineering.

You will manage a discovery portfolio of alumni and friends, conduct outreach via calls, email, and virtual meetings, and work with gift officers to move donors toward leadership annual giving and major gifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year fundraising or related experience.
• Ability to analyze data points to prioritize outreach.
• Comfort with cold calling and donor outreach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify major gift prospects and manage outreach to build a discovery portfolio.
• Conduct meetings (primarily virtual) and document contact reports.
• Collaborate with gift officers to cultivate prospects toward major gifts.
• Support leadership annual giving solicitations when appropriate.
• Represent NC State with professionalism in university advancement activities.
