NC State University’s Poole College of Management seeks an accomplished Executive Director of Philanthropy to lead its comprehensive fundraising program and expand major and transformational giving. The role partners with the Dean and leadership, guiding a team of philanthropy professionals and engaging alumni, corporate and foundation partners to advance college priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills that nurture an accountable, goal‑oriented and values‑based team environment.
• Robust knowledge of institutional fundraising in a large, complex organization.
• Demonstrated success in personally cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major and principal gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the College’s comprehensive fundraising strategy, including annual planning, goal setting, campaign initiatives, pipeline development, and donor engagement.
• Maintain an active portfolio of major and principal gift prospects and personally participate in cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Partner with the Dean and leadership to develop philanthropic opportunities aligned with institutional priorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of philanthropy professionals and foster a donor-centered culture.
• Engage alumni, corporate partners, foundations and volunteers in support of college priorities.
