Job summary
MSD is seeking a Director of Pharmaceutical Commercialization Technology to lead a diverse team of engineers and scientists across Rahway, NJ and West Point, PA, delivering robust development strategies and reliable supply. You will drive actionable plans, oversee safety, quality, and inclusion, and partner across global networks to bring life-saving medicines to market.
The role requires deep expertise in small molecule process development, scale-up, and technology transfer, plus a strong track
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a chemical or related field with extensive experience (12+ years) or MS (10+ years) or PhD (8+ years).
- Deep technical expertise in drug product formulation and process development.
- Experience with regulatory submissions and responses.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Pharmaceutical Commercialization Technology department (10–20 members).
- Drive development of product portfolio and control strategies across scales.
- Spearhead cross-functional collaboration with global teams for regulatory, siting, and tech transfer.
- Sponsor high-performing teams and ensure proactive technical reviews.
- Develop talent through an employee development toolkit and leadership.
