Job summary

MSD in Rahway, NJ seeks a Senior Engineer to drive pharmaceutical process development and technology transfer from pilot to commercial scale. You will collaborate with R&D, analytical, regulatory, and operations teams across internal sites and CMOs worldwide.

The role requires hands-on lab, pilot, and manufacturing experience, strong communication, and leadership. Hybrid work is supported with a focus on cGMP and PD excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Design and execute experimental programs with mechanistic understanding.
• Experience with scale-up and technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and interpret process development studies including scale-up and validation.
• Lead cross-functional technology development teams and participate in drug product groups.
• Apply DOE and risk-based approaches to development and data modeling.
• Author protocols, reports, and regulatory filings.
• Communicate effectively within teams including external vendors.
• Evaluate new technologies and perform data analysis in GMP settings.
• Contribute to publications and presentations.
• Advance digital and data analytics capabilities.
