Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation seeks a strategic and hands-on Director of Logistics to lead and develop transportation and freight operations across self-performed and 3PL services. You will manage CDL drivers, supervisors, and a coordinator, shaping a scalable logistics strategy aligned with Evergreen Holdings and SureTree Logistics.

A strong focus on KPI tracking, cost control, and safety is required. The role emphasizes fleet optimization, DOT compliance, ERP/TMS utilization, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in logistics/transportation management, including fleet operations and CDL oversight.
• Proven experience balancing self-performed and 3PL services.
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety programs.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and logistics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive logistics strategy aligned with growth goals.
• Manage inbound/outbound freight using internal fleet and third-party providers.
• Lead logistics personnel including CDL drivers, supervisors, and specialists.
• Oversee fleet acquisition, maintenance, and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations (FMCSA, HOS).
• Collaborate to scale operations and transition to expanded self-performed logistics.
• Develop and track KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per mile, and fleet utilization.
• Manage budgets, vendor billing, expenses, and ROI on investments.
• Utilize ERP and TMS systems for coordination and planning.
• Maintain safety records and audit readiness.
