Job summary

Drury University seeks a Director of Career Planning & Development to lead the CPD within the Cox Compass Center, supervising staff and overseeing budgetary and administrative functions. You will serve as the primary liaison between employers, students, and alumni.

The role drives innovative career programming, marketing, and data reporting to support student success and Drury Fusion outcomes across campus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, liberal arts, education, business, STEM field, student affairs, human resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in career counseling or coaching services, HR, recruiting or talent development.
• PHR/SPRH/SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Office of Career Planning & Development as part of the Cox Compass Center.
• Hire, mentor, and supervise professional staff and student workers.
• Develop and manage budgets, expenditures, and program resources.
• Coordinate internship registrations, social media efforts, and career software tools.
• Represent Drury University to employers, parents, prospective students, and alumni.
• Collaborate with campus units to advance student success and program assessment.
