This senior role partners with the department chair to translate priorities into programs, optimize processes, and advance the department’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and progressively responsible experience leading complex administrative operations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate about business, financial, and administrative operations.
• Demonstrated success leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• Ability to collaborate and influence effectively with individuals at all levels of a complex organization.
• Strong organizational, project management, and execution skills.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight – Lead Undergraduate/Graduate program offices, Facilities and IT, and Administrative staff, aligning initiatives with the department’s mission.
• Human Resources Administration – Oversee appointments, payroll costing, onboarding, and staff development.
• Financial Management – Guide annual budgets, vendor contracts, and reporting; coordinate financial systems access.
• Faculty Affairs – Partner with chairs and committees on recruitment, promotions, and awards.
• Department Liaison – Coordinate with university offices and external partners to advance priorities.
• Other – Perform other related functions as assigned.
