Job summary

Pilot Thomas Logistics seeks an experienced Director of Procurement for Lubricants & Chemicals to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization across a nationwide network. You will guide a team of procurement professionals, drive rebates and term negotiations, and partner with finance and operations to align inventory with demand.

The role requires deep experience in lubricants/chemicals, strong leadership, and a proven record of delivering value through strategic sourcing

Qualifications

• 8+ years in procurement with 5+ years in lubricants/chemicals.
• 3+ years of direct people management in multi-site environments.
• Experience managing rebate programs (Chevron) and margin protection.
• Proficient with Coupa and advanced ERPs.
• Proven track record closing high-value contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for lubricants and chemical product lines nationwide.
• Negotiate master agreements to secure cost savings and favorable terms.
• Manage vendor relationships, performance, and risk.
• Oversee monthly pricing changes for key chemical categories.
• Coach and mentor buyers; develop team capabilities.
• Collaborate with AP to resolve postings; align with technical teams.
• Drive procurement process improvements and ERP data quality.
• Ensure compliance with PTL policies and regulations.
• Oversee budgets and cost centers; manage overtime and leaves.
• Lead cross-functional projects and executive-level initiatives.
