Job summary

AOI, Applied Optoelectronics, Inc., seeks a Director of Financial Reporting to lead external reporting for a public company with global entities. You will oversee SEC filings, technical accounting, and disclosure practices, while guiding the reporting team and coordinating with auditors, CFO, and Audit Committee.

The role requires deep U.S. GAAP knowledge, SOX expertise, and strong leadership in a manufacturing context.

Qualifications

• Active CPA is required.
• 8+ years in financial reporting or public accounting with 3+ years leading a team.
• Experience with SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, Proxy).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, Proxy) and manage filing calendar.
• Draft MD&A, footnotes, and disclosures for investors.
• Lead internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and SOX compliance.
