Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a global manufacturing company in the Portland area seeking a Director of External Reporting. The role leads SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and technical accounting for a complex international organization.

Based in Portland with hybrid work, the role oversees quarterly and annual SEC disclosures, develops accounting processes, and coordinates with external auditors. Strong leadership and communication with senior finance and legal teams are essential.

Qualifications

CPA is required.
10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
Strong SEC reporting and SOX experience.
Public-company reporting experience or significant SEC exposure from public accounting.
Strong technical accounting background.
Proven ability to lead and develop accounting professionals.

Responsibilities

Lead SEC reporting, technical accounting, and SOX compliance for a global public company.
Oversee quarterly and annual SEC reporting.
Partner on complex technical accounting matters.
Lead the internal controls environment.
Serve as a key point of contact for external audit.
Exposure to equity, debt, income taxes, treasury, and other strategic finance initiatives.
