Job summary

Alliance Resource Group partners with a publicly traded, global technology manufacturer to identify its next Director of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting. This leader will own external reporting and serve as the go-to technical resource for complex transactions across a multinational operation.

The role carries direct visibility with senior finance leadership and the Audit Committee, shaping investor communications.

Qualifications

Experience leading and mentoring accounting teams.
Ability to communicate complex accounting positions to executives.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and related disclosures.
Direct the quarterly earnings process, including press release financials and investor materials.
Research and document technical accounting positions for complex transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, debt, equity).
Monitor and brief on emerging FASB/SEC guidance; assess impact on the business.
Partner with external auditors to plan quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
Maintain strong SOX controls over external reporting and accounting processes.
Build, mentor, and develop a team of reporting and technical accounting professionals.
Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and international finance teams for global reporting.
