Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Director of Commissioning and Field Service to lead the commissioning, operations, and maintenance of our utility-scale energy storage projects. You will build a world‑class team of field service engineers and technicians responsible for system commissioning, post‑installation service, and rapid issue resolution.

This leadership role defines field service strategy and processes, owns MTTR and availability metrics, and manages budgets, warranties, and vendor

Qualifications

10+ years in Commissioning, Field Service, Field Operations, or Technical Support for energy or complex electro‑mechanical systems.
4+ years managing a global or large regional team.
Experience building/scaling commissioning or O&M organizations with metrics.
Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E) and field operations best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the Commissioning and Field Service organization (managers, engineers, technicians).
Develop and execute commissioning playbook and seamless transition from construction to COD.
Develop and execute the comprehensive O&M strategy with safety and QA processes.
Own MTTR and availability metrics; implement preventive maintenance and rapid response.
Manage budgets, warranties, spare parts, service contracts, and vendor relationships.
Travel to project sites up to 40% to support deployments and field operations.
