Job summary

Babson College seeks a Director, Operations to lead daily operations for its campus buildings, grounds and site infrastructure. You will manage maintenance, services, fleet, and events support, while assisting with operating and capital budgets and coordinating with campus partners and vendors.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in facilities operations, 5+ years leading staff and budgets, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in custodial/grounds/facilities management.
• At least 10 years of facilities operations experience.
• At least 5 years of managing staff and budgets.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Superior leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Ability to work in a team/community, preferably in higher education.
• Ability to drive independently with a valid US license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for buildings, grounds, and site infrastructure.
• Assist with operating and capital budgets; monitor expenses and priorities.
• Coordinate resources with campus partners, vendors and leadership.
• Oversee service response, safety systems, and events support.
• Supervise facilities managers and on-call staff; provide direction.
• Support continuous improvement and planning for capital projects.
