Job summary

San Jose/Evergreen Community College District seeks a Director of Apprenticeships & Workforce Partnerships to lead apprenticeship programs, partnerships with employers, and workforce initiatives. This role reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs at San Jose City College and drives strategic growth, funding, and program quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Five years of increasingly responsible administrative, supervisory, management, workforce development, apprenticeship, contract education, grant administration, or related experience.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship, workforce development, and contract education; familiar with state/federal programs and funding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate advancement of apprenticeship programs and assess student progress.
• Lead funding and resource development across state, federal, private, and industry sources.
• Monitor programs for regulatory compliance and fiscal integrity of funds.
• Manage apprenticeship grants and other grants consistent with policy and sound financial principles.
• Develop strategies and plans to grow programs and partnerships with employers and community partners.
• Promote programs through Marketing collaboration and coordinate cohort launches and events.
• Prepare and administer grant budgets; oversee expenditures and ensure documentation compliance.
