Job summary

San Jose/Evergreen Community College District is seeking a Director of Apprenticeships & Workforce Partnerships at San Jose City College. The role oversees instructional apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, contract education, and related programs, reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

It is a full-time, 12-month academic management position with a Monday–Friday schedule. The Director will lead strategic partnerships with employers, labor organizations, and government agencies,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
• Five years of administrative/managerial experience in workforce development, apprenticeships, or grant administration.
• Ability to develop partnerships with employers, labor organizations and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate advancement of apprenticeship programs and assess student outcomes.
• Lead funding and resource development with state, federal, private, and industry sources.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for funds.
• Develop strategies for program growth and partnerships with employers and community groups.
• Promote curricula and plan events with Marketing.
• Prepare grant budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Supervise staff and promote diversity and inclusive practices.
