Reporting to the President & CEO, this full-time exempt onsite role focuses on regulatory compliance, asset stewardship, and housing development, with a salary range of $100,000–$115,000.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing, including operations/asset management and development/preservation/redevelopment.
• Experience leading or coordinating affordable housing development projects from feasibility through financing and stabilization.
• Hands-on LIHTC compliance experience.
• Knowledge of HUD Section 8/Project-Based Voucher, HOME and CDBG regulations, and supportive housing funding streams.
• Experience supervising property management or facilities staff.
• Strong regulatory reporting and file management; experience with audits and inspections.
• Ability to manage multiple funding sources, compliance calendars, and regulatory relationships.
• Financial literacy to manage budgets and discuss with CFO/auditors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional representation with funders, regulators, and partners.
• Regular, predictable attendance and willingness to attend off-hours meetings.
• Physical ability to travel across facilities.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Funding Management: Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD Section 8, HOME, CDBG, NJHMFA, and vouchers.
• Oversee audits, certifications, reporting, inspections, and calendars.
• Asset & Portfolio Management: Manage long-term physical and financial health; oversee capital planning and budgets.
• Property Operations & Facilities: Supervise Housing Operations, Compliance, and Facilities Managers; ensure safe, compliant housing operations.
• Housing Development & Portfolio Growth: Lead development, acquisition, preservation, and redevelopment from concept through financing.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Establish responsibilities, resolve issues, build collaborative leadership.
• Strategic Leadership: Advise CEO on housing strategy, development, fundraising, and reporting.
