Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Director of Dining Services for a community living setting in Sacramento, CA. You will lead the food and beverage operation, ensuring resident and client satisfaction while meeting financial goals and fostering a positive work environment.

You will develop and execute departmental strategies, implement the service program, and serve as the face of the company to clients and residents.

Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field (or equivalent A.A. degree + experience).
Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience.
Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, with focus on cost controls and presentation.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement overall operating strategy aligned with Compass Community Living and client goals.
Drive on-site leadership accountability for service behaviors and outcomes.
Monitor personnel, operations, and culinary situations; make recommendations as needed.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and Compass standards; oversee safety and sanitation programs.
Lead communications with executives and on-site teams to update on relevant matters.
Oversee budgeting, wage, food & beverage costs, and controllable expenses; review financial results.
