Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager – Core Lab to lead strategic and commercial management of a clinical diagnostics portfolio, with emphasis on CCIA and related disciplines. Location preferred on-site in Pittsburgh, with openness to remote work.

The role requires managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, leading reviews, and developing portfolio strategies to drive profitable growth across multiple diagnostics domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in science, business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in clinical diagnostics or laboratory products, including portfolio management, channel management, supplier management, or related.
• Experience with clinical chemistry and immunoassay (CCIA); familiarity with capital instrumentation.
• Experience working with distributors/channel partners for a diagnostics manufacturer.
• Strong commercial, financial, and analytical acumen with data-driven decision making.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and deliverables across multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own the business relationship for assigned supplier partners and drive profitable growth.
• Develop and execute portfolio and supplier strategies; manage performance against AOP objectives.
• Lead supplier business reviews, including performance analysis and action plans.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and coordinate with Legal on contracts.
• Lead new product launches and supplier introductions, driving cross-functional readiness.
• Partner with Marketing to develop campaigns, tools, and growth initiatives.
• Provide portfolio guidance to sales teams and leadership.
