Job summary

NDI New Mexico is seeking a Senior Director of Development to lead all fundraising initiatives from annual gifts to major campaigns. Based in Santa Fe, you will shape the development plan, cultivate donors, and manage a growing team.

You will partner with the Executive Director and Board to meet revenue goals, supervise grant activities, events, and donor relations, and ensure compliance with grants and reporting.

Qualifications

• College Degree.
• Minimum five years’ experience in fund development.
• Fundraising track record of $5M annual and $15M capital.
• Oversight of 7–10 fundraising staff.
• Willingness to collaborate with Executive Director and Board.
• Knowledge of the New Mexico market is highly helpful.
• Experience with organizations with multiple locations is very helpful.
• Strong marketing background with experience building partnerships and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage development functions to meet annual, capital, legacy, and endowment goals.
• Lead development staff and coordinate with marketing and board committees.
• Oversee donor stewardship, grants, and donor database/CRM management.
• Build major donor activity focused on Santa Fe and Albuquerque and expand Founders Circle participation.
• Prepare budgets and ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting.
