Job summary

National Dance Institute of New Mexico is seeking an Albuquerque Director of Development to lead major gifts and annual giving programs. The role reports to senior leadership and works with the board to cultivate donors, manage budgets, and oversee fundraising campaigns within Albuquerque and surrounding communities.

The position requires cultivating major donors, creating strategies, and coordinating with the Advancement team, Marketing, and Finance to meet budget goals.

Qualifications

• College Degree.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in development with demonstrable experience in direct major gift solicitation.
• Strong organizational, computer, and smart-phone skills including MS Office suite.
• Willingness to travel for donor visits, events and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Set contributed income goals for Albuquerque and oversee fundraising, communication and marketing activities.
• Manage an annual portfolio of 150+ prospects and donors with solicitation and stewardship.
• Create solicitation strategies and benefit packages to meet budget goals.
• Build and sustain a broad local network of supporters including schools and city/state partners.
• Prepare quarterly reports for the board and senior staff.
• Lead or participate in committees (Advancement, Gala, Corporate Council) as needed.
