Santa Fe Playhouse is seeking a strategic Development Director to lead fundraising efforts that sustain its artistic mission in Santa Fe. You will design and execute the development plan—individual giving, grants, corporate sponsorships, and special events—working with the Managing Director and Board to meet annual revenue goals. This full-time, on-site role requires strong writing, donor CRM proficiency, and the ability to engage at evening and weekend performances.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years nonprofit fundraising experience, ideally in the arts.
• Track record in individual giving, grant writing, and/or event fundraising.
• Strong writing skills and donor database/CRM proficiency.
• Some evening/weekend availability for performances and events.

Responsabilités

• Strategy: Build and manage the annual development plan and budget; report results to the Managing Director and Board.
• Individual Giving: Manage a donor portfolio, run annual appeals, and steward major gift prospects.
• Grants: Research, write, and submit grant proposals; track deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Corporate Sponsorship: Develop sponsorship packages and manage partner relationships.
• Events: Plan and execute fundraising events, including the annual gala and opening night receptions.
• Board Engagement: Staff the Development Committee and support Board members in donor cultivation.
• Administration: Maintain donor database/CRM, ensure timely gift acknowledgment, and manage department budget.
