Job summary

Living Cities, in Washington, DC or New York City, seeks a Development Strategy & Operations Manager to build and manage the systems, strategy, research, materials, and follow-through to grow and sustain fund development.

Reporting to the CEO, the role collaborates with the CSO and Grants & Contracts Manager to cultivate, steward, and close commitments from private foundations, financial institutions, corporate partners, and other funders.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of development, institutional advancement, fundraising strategy, development operations, or related nonprofit revenue experience.
• Experience with moves management, prospect strategy, proposal development, and development operations.
• Experience coordinating with senior leaders and boards on funder engagements.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage a multi-year development strategy and disciplined pipeline of funders and members.
• Prepare proposals, concept notes, briefing memos, talking points, and stewardship materials for funders.
• Build and maintain CRM records, dashboards, KPI reports, forecasts, and analytics.
• Coordinate across programs, communications, finance, and senior leadership to align proposals with organizational priorities.
