Job summary

Suited for Change in Washington, DC seeks a Development Manager to lead day-to-day fundraising operations, working with the Executive Director to implement the Development Plan and drive campaigns, events, and donor stewardship.

You will manage donor pipelines, reporting, and CRM processes, coordinate with the Development & Program Assistant, and ensure timely execution of fundraising priorities with attention to detail, collaboration, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business or related field.
• 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with growth in responsibility.
• Experience managing donor databases, fundraising campaigns and development reporting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Director to implement SFC’s Development Plan, translating priorities into actionable work plans and timelines.
• Manage grants calendar and foundation proposals, reports, deadlines, and materials with the Executive Director.
• Prepare donor briefings, prospect research, solicitation materials, and stewardship recommendations for leadership engagement.
• Support major donor cultivation and stewardship with Executive Director involvement.
• Track fundraising performance and pipeline activity to identify opportunities and next steps.
