The Director guides non-residential and major residential initiatives, aligning with Transformative Climate Communities funding to advance environmental justice and community-scale solar deployment.

The role partners with Outreach, Workforce Development, Marketing, Philanthropy, Finance, and Grants teams to ensure impact, funding alignment, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in clean energy, community development, sustainability, or related fields.
• 5+ years in senior management, program development, or strategic leadership.
• Proven commitment to racial, environmental, and economic justice.
• Experience developing and securing major public grants and philanthropic funding.
• Strong ability to cultivate partnerships with government agencies and nonprofits.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical, construction, or design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic project and business development planning for non-residential and major residential initiatives.
• Develop and implement annual strategic initiatives plan with defined goals and revenue targets.
• Conduct market, regulatory, and policy analyses to identify opportunities.
• Manage and mentor the Strategic Initiatives and Business Development team.
