Job summary

Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Associate Director of Development to lead fundraising strategy and major initiatives. You will supervise a five-person team handling individual and institutional giving, including major gifts, sponsorships, and governance support.

You will manage a portfolio of ~80 major donors, work with senior leadership and Trustees, and play a key role in STC Transforms, a $60 million campaign.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in individual giving and major gift fundraising.
• Experience managing fundraising teams and working with senior leadership and boards.
• Familiarity with capital campaigns and donor recognition programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy and major initiatives with the Senior Director.
• Oversee a five-person Development team and portfolio of ~80 major donors.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts including membership and corporate sponsorships.
• Represent STC in donor travel and participate in Trustee engagement.
