Job summary

Genesee Intermediate School District is seeking a Deputy Superintendent for Human Resources and Operations to provide executive leadership across HR, labor relations, facilities, and transportation. The role advises the Superintendent on complex personnel and legal matters and acts as lead administrator in the Superintendent’s absence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, human resources, management, business administration, or related field.
• Graduate-level coursework or demonstrated professional expertise in school law, labor relations, human resources, or business management.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate and compliance with MDE continuing education requirements.
• Minimum of five years of central-office administrative leadership experience in an educational setting.
• Experience advising executive leaders and managing complex confidential matters.
• Oversees HR, labor relations, collective bargaining, and employee relations.
• Provides leadership for legal and regulatory compliance and for facilities, operations, and transportation.

Responsibilities
