Semtech seeks a Demand Planner to own the 18‑month demand forecast and translate it into an executable supply plan at the Alhambra, CA facility. You will drive S&OP, BOM/master data changes, and analytics to guide wafer starts and revenue commitments.

You will collaborate with Sales, BU leadership, Operations, and Finance, applying segmentation, ABC/XYZ analysis, and scenario planning to optimize inventory and service targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of demand planning, supply planning, materials/production planning, or supply chain analytics experience.
• Hands-on experience with an enterprise planning system (SAP APO, IBP, Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder, or equivalent), including MRP execution and exception management.
• Working knowledge of ERP master data structures — material masters, multi-level BOMs, routings, production versions, and MRP parameters — and how they drive planning output.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large-dataset manipulation.
• Working knowledge of forecasting methods (moving average, exponential smoothing, seasonal and causal models) and standard accuracy metrics (MAPE, bias, WMAPE).
• Authorized to work in the United States; able to work on-site at the Alhambra, California facility.

Responsabilités

• Own the baseline forecast. Build, maintain, and improve statistical demand models for assigned product families.
• Lead the demand review step of the monthly S&OP process and publish the agreed demand plan.
• Apply segmentation to tailor forecasting effort and model selection.
• Track forecast accuracy and root-cause misses; drive corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Quantify demand scenarios and translate to supply/inventory implications.
• Convert plan to revenue by aligning backlog, ship dates, and supply availability.
• Identify shortages and propose pull-ins/push-outs with rationale.
• Monitor weekly billing pace and smooth quarterly shipment profiles.
• Provide reliable weekly revenue outlooks for BU and Finance.
• Maintain view of committed and at-risk revenue with clear assumptions.
• Analyze distributor signals and collaborate with Sales on forecasts and commitments.
• Monitor channel inventory health and validate demand quality.
• Ensure supply planning via SAP APO and manage BOM/master data changes.
• Support capacity planning and capacity bookings with Operations and external partners.
• Maintain planning master data and ensure data integrity.
