Job summary

Tarte Inc in New York is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to analyze demand signals and drive accurate forecasts for wholesale, retail, and marketing alignment. You will collaborate with Supply Planning, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to support S&OP and financial plans.

The role emphasizes advanced analytics, AI/ML forecasting tools, and end-to-end lifecycle planning, with a focus on reducing forecast bias and improving inventory efficiency in a fast-paced cosmetics environment.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in Demand Planning, Sales Planning or Supply Chain.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/BI tools.
• Proven track record of improving forecast accuracy and reducing bias.
• Experience with demand planning systems (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, O9, Anaplan) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Cosmetics/CPG experience or willingness to work in that sector.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly SKU/retailer forecasting with statistical models and market inputs.
• Lead new product forecasting including launch phasing and post-launch tracking.
• Assess cannibalization risk and forecast accuracy against targets.
• Present demand insights in S&OP and cross-functional forums to senior stakeholders.
• Leverage AI/ML tools to improve forecast accuracy while applying business judgment.
