Job summary

Tarte Inc. in New York is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to analyze demand signals and drive an accurate demand plan guiding wholesale and retail sales. The role collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning to align forecast with financial plans.

You will own the monthly forecasting process, lead new product forecasting, and drive forecast accuracy improvements across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years experience in Demand Planning, Sales Planning, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Strong Excel skills required; Vanguard experience a plus.
• Proven track record owning forecast accuracy metrics and driving measurable improvement.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Experience with demand planning/ERP systems (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, O9, Anaplan) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Working knowledge of sales strategy and brand positioning.
• Flexible, adaptive mindset in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Cosmetics or CPG industry experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly SKU/retailer forecasting process, applying statistical forecasting models and inputs.
• Lead new product forecasting, including initial sell-in projections and launch phasing.
• Assess cannibalization risk or complementary growth for launches.
• Own forecast accuracy and bias metrics and drive root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Assess actual sell-through vs. plan and translate findings into forward forecast revisions.
• Participate in S&OP and business reviews, presenting demand insights to senior stakeholders.
• Develop close relationships with key retailers for inventory feedback and joint forecasting.
